Update

Amazing. Time has flown by incredibly fast. Zeke is one, prancing around the house. Babbling his oppinions and concerns, at least I'd like to think so. Really? A year already? I keep having memories of the day he was born and the leading zombie moths after. It was so hard for a beautiful transition into motherhood for me. Planning out everything before I left the house was hard. Planning out anything really was hard for me. I was use to dashing out of the house with or with out direction if I wanted to leave. Now I had to make sure I knew exactly where I was going and for how long and how many diapers I needed and a changs of clothes for zeke for the 'blow out all over his back' moment and I needed to make sure I was packing enough food for me. I still ate like I was pregnant. It was so much to think about. After three months or so I was kinda somewhat a pro.
Zeke is adventurous, always into everything. I don't mind if my house becomes a disaster zone as long as he is having fun. I'm trying to get him to help me put toys away after he is obviously done with them. I sing the clean up song from the Barney and Friends show. Funny? I know.

I have been busy. Period. With what? Zeke, Me, Coop... Mother, Sis, Brotherling. My mom's basement has flooded... again. It was a disaster water pools everywhere. Cooper rushed over there after work to get the couches and valuables out of the basement. After a week, still no new carpet, 1-2 feet has been cut out of the walls (floor up). Christmas. Christmas is around the corner! I have been trying to help with all I can. It will all get together last minute.

Zeke gave me a gift today. One inch scratch on my right cheek. It is a deep one.
Immediately I applied Raw Honey on it. Honey is a great antimicrobial and has great moisturizing properties. After I drenched it in Liquid Vitamin E. Im just winging it. I dont know, I'm Desperate! I really hope it doesnt leave a scar. I HOPE!
Baby Zeke is wonderful, I love him to the end of the world and back and back and back again. He tried to sing Sesame Street's Elmo's Song in the tub today. OOOHHH! CUTE! haa. I have it recorded on Cooper's phone. So precious.

This is what is new with me...
Got a 3B Yoga Pass! FINALLY Best yoga in Utah County for sure. When I was pregnant every class I went to took care of me. Massaged my low back, neck, FEET. yes FEET! They are amazing.
Zeke's First Birthday was HUGE SUCCESS. Cooper's friend who works for Diamond Rental hooked us up with a COTTON CANDY MACHINE, POP CORN MACHINE AND GAMES. 'Tis was an awesome time!

Helped a friend with a photoshoot. My good friend Ashley H. told me how hard it was posing underwater. Didnt think anything of it at the time. Oh man, it is hard. However there were some photos that turned out amazing. Click for PHOTOS here

I Followed the recipie to the 'T' however, I do recommend to SOAK your almonds, pepitas, sunflower seeds before you mixed them into the batter. Why? Well, you will get more nutrition out of the seeds and nuts. Think of them being asleep and water wakes them up as it soaks into them. Really beneficial for you. YOU SHOULD KEEP THEM REFRIGERATED!

Hello September. Summer is almost gone, the nights are getting a little more chili-perkins justifying wearing a sweater is obvious.
So this month, well last month, i didnt post anything about zeke turning nine months... well he did turn nine months with or without a blog post. He got his first cold 1 week ago. It was the most miserable time for the Zeke, he did not know what was going on with his body. i felt so awful for him.



























I would like to post some recipes I KNOW YOU ALL WILL L O V E

I made this the other night, it is a fig and quinoa tabouleh dish. mmm good.


Serves 6 as a side dish

Ingredients:
1.5 cups dry quinoa
3 cups water
6 large figs or 10 small ones, diced
3 tomatoes (heirloom if possible), diced
4 green onions, thinly sliced, white and green parts included
1/3 cup to 1/2 cups loosely packed fresh mint
juice of two lemons
salt and pepper
1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions:
In a large pot, bring the quinoa and water to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer, covered until all the water has been absorbed (about 20 minutes). Remove from the heat, fluff with a for and place in a large bowl to cool for 20 minutes.
Add the figs, tomatoes, green onions, mint, lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste and the oil. Let sit at room temperature for another 20 minutes and refrigerate after that if not consumed right away.

Hello,
This past weekend I had the opportunity to spend time with the girls at the Trek Dirt Series in Park City. It was really humbling and forced me to have a positive attitude on the rides they took us, which were really intense hard. I grew as a person, defiantly. But also I learned years worth or techniques in just two days. Ya? Ya! I'm serious. I recommend this camp to all women who want to get serious and obviously, better at mountain biking. Here for more info on the women's series.

making my own stamps out of all the wine corks i have... they work out great. i wish i had a pictures... well, coming soon!





and making stamps out of silicon gaulking.... on to 1/8 inch plexi glass. these are still a work in progress. The gaulking is really hard to work with. I could just use 3d paint? OR foam.... like paint that turns a little foamy once it's dried... is there such thing?

8 Months

I can't believe that in 4 months zeke boy is going to be a year old. This makes me think a couple things...









































a. grab life by the horns (haa i know)
b. laugh often
c. don't waste time
d. play play play









































This little pea is starting to power crawl... oh boy. we have already kicked out the coffee table and replaced it with an ottoman coffee table. So zeke's head bangs are a little more plush. we have moved most furniture which potentially harm zeke when and if he falls. Because, now! zeke is starting to stand up on his own. This all happened so fast.
He is starting to show more and more of his personality. From scrunchy faces to babbles. I love getting to know him more and more every day. He is very interesting.

During the weekend we spent a day with my brother and sister in law along with their three kids for the last time, hopefully not. They are leaving on a three month soul searching outdoor food exploring adventure. They left Utah to make sure they aren't missing out on life some place else. pretty bold.
